Beatles Walking Tour

Thursday, we went on a Beatles Walking Tour. Unfortunately, it was at night so my pictures didn’t come out so well but we saw many Beatles/Rock and Roll related sights such as Abbey Road, Paul McCartney’s House, Apple- the last place the Beatles performed live and their recording studio on Denmark Street.

Weekend in Paris!

Last weekend we went to Paris!! We took a boat from Dover to Normandy and then drove the rest of the way to Paris. The first day the weather was BEAUTIFUL and we went on a boat tour of Paris on the Seine River. Then we went on a Panoramic Bus Tour of the city and took pictures near the Eiffel Tower. We stopped by our hotel and went to this amazing French Restaurant where I had French bread, French onion soup, Moussaka, and Crème Caramel. It was incredible! Then the next day it was raining but we went to Sacre Coeur, Notre Dame, the Opera House, Moulin Rouge and the Champs Elysee. I had Croque Monsieur for lunch with a caramel banana crepe for dessert. Then for dinner we had cheese and chocolate fondue. That night we went to a club called WAX. The next day we had continental breakfast at the hotel- pain au chocolat and croissants!!- and went to the Louvre where we saw the Mona Lisa and many other great works of art. It was a really great trip and the food was INCREDIBLE!

V&A Museum of Childhood

Monday we went on a field trip for my psych class to the Museum of Childhood. It was really cool because it had collections of all different toys throughout history!

Tower of London!

Saturday, we went to the Tower of London, which is so far my favorite historical place we've visited. We went on a guided tour with a great tour guide and got to see the Crown Jewels and King's armor.

Internship hours

My classes were good this week and I have no homework for the week! I found out today that my internship site is closed for 3 weeks for school vacation while im here but I think I will still be able to get the set number of hours even when taking off 3 weeks for school vacation and my week long break. I need to figure it out a bit more and need to figure out a way to make up 2 hours but if I can I should be all set and then I'll have 3 weeks to travel around London! I recently booked two 3 day trips, one to Paris for Feb 5-7 and one to Amsterdam and Bruges for March 12-14th. I'm really excited for those trips and hopefully I'll go to Ireland and Italy over Spring break but we still need to figure out the details. Everything is going great and I'm really enjoying my time here!

Notting Hill and the Clink Prison Museum

This weekend we did some site seeing. Saturday we went to Notting Hill and Portobello Market. We went shopping at the market place for a few hours and had lunch at a pub. I had fish and chips for the first time! At night we went to a bar called Miss Qs. Sunday we went to London Bridge and went to the Clink Prison Museum, which was really small but interesting.

Stonehenge and Bath trip

Today we went on a day trip to Stonehenge and Bath. Unfortunately the weather was really bad especially while we were at Stonehenge. Stonhenge was pretty cool but the weather was unbearable, it was so cold and rainy and windy that we couldnt stand to be outside for to long. Bath was really nice. We went to a Mexican restaurant there for lunch and went on a guided walking tour of the town and to the Roman baths. It was nice to see a different part of England!
